Elizabeth is a panelist on Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights: the Foundation for Gender Equality

Elizabeth is joining CCIC, Women Deliver and Future Planning Initiative for an evening discussion on the importance of putting sexual and reproductive health and rights at the center of the gender equality agenda—to advance the health, rights, and well-being of women and girls in Canada and around the world. There will be an experts panel and politcial panel. The panelists are: 

  • Katja Iversen, President/CEO of Women Deliver;
  • Aminata Bintu Wurie, Executive Coordinator, Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights;
  • Gabrielle Bouchard, President, Quebec Women's Federation;
  • Emily Chartrand-Hudson, Registered Indigenous Midwife, Core Leader on National Aboriginal Council of Midwives;
  • Razia Sultana, Founder of Rohingya Women Welfare Society;
  • Sheila Malcolmson, Member of Parliament, NDP Critic for Women’s Equality
  • Karen Vecchio, Member of Parliament, Conservative Shadow Minister for Families, Children and Social Development
  • Kamal Khera, Member of Parliament, Liberal Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Development
  • Susan Ormiston, CBC Senior Correspondent will be moderating.

When: Wednesday, September 19th. Doors open at 6:00pm for a reception, the panel will begin at 7:00pm EST. Closing remarks will end at 8:40pm, followed by a networking reception until 9:30pm EST.
