Event Date

Event Description

GPC Election Readiness Committee invites you to attend a Webinar presented by Politikos Research:

Evidence-Based, Effective Voter Contact

Most parties in Canada now consider voter contact to be the most significant activity of a riding-level campaign and the most important tactic in winning elections.  Why has voter contact in all its forms become so popular?  How do you decide which voters to contact first?  What are you trying to do when you're talking to them?  What works, and what doesn't?  How can Green campaign teams engage in this tactic effectively and efficiently, no matter the size of their bank account or volunteer pool?

Over the past two decades, research on voter contact has changed the way campaigns operate across North America.  This webinar, hosted by Kaija and Doug Munro, two experts with doctoral degrees in Canadian politics and strategy, will summarize the key findings of this research.  Using concrete examples of field-tested techniques, they will explain how to design, target, and implement a holistic voter contact operation in a Canadian context - and explain how to adapt to a pandemic election, if necessary.  By the end of the webinar, you will have the knowledge you need to develop and run a high-impact voter contact operation, no matter the scale of your campaign.

All Greens are welcome. A Q&A will be held after 8pm, and the webinar will be recorded and put in the Organizing Tool Box along with summary notes so the information is available to all.
