OTTAWA -- The federal Green Party sends congratulations to our Manitoban counterparts on a successful election campaign. "A wonderful team of volunteers in Manitoba supported our stellar candidates. Leader James Beddome's excellent performance in the televised debate really highlighted how Green policies make sense for all Canadians," said Elizabeth May, Green Leader and MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands.
James Beddome earned 20% of the vote to place second in his riding. The Green vote is definitely on the upswing in Manitoba, with much stronger results in this election compared to 2007. The Green Party of Canada congratulates all of our excellent candidates on their hard work in this election.
