(OTTAWA) - The Green Party of Canada welcomes Claire Martin as the candidate for the riding of North Vancouver.
“I have the huge honour of welcoming Claire Martin to a growing fleet of top-notch Green candidates,” said Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and Member of Parliament for Saanich – Gulf Islands. “Her commitment to climate action has driven her to work for the people of North Vancouver as their MP. Together we can change the climate in Parliament.”
“Since coming to know her, I have learned of her work in the United Nations and her deep policy background. In the upcoming federal election, North Vancouver residents will decide who will represent them in Parliament, and for many, the choice is Claire!”
North Vancouver Green Party members unanimously acclaimed Ms. Martin at a nomination meeting last night.
“I am thrilled and excited to throw my name in the ring with other Green candidates so that we can offer Canadians a real, fresh choice to lead this country,” said Claire Martin. “I want to help grow the Green footprint in Canada, and I'll start doing that with the help of North Vancouver residents.”
