On September 16, the Federal Council of the Green Party of Canada passed the following motion:
"Effective immediately, to merge the first and second rounds of campaigning into a single round of campaigning with a voting period beginning at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on November 12, 2022 and ending at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time on November 19, 2022. All existing deadlines in the Leadership Contest Rules must be realigned to reflect this change (i.e.: deadlines for new member voting "All Party members in good standing as of 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on October 19, 2022 are eligible to vote." The absentee ballot application deadline will also be adjusted to reflect a one-time November voting period and other rules will be adjusted to reflect necessary changes)."
This will allow all six candidates to run their campaigns through the November voting period.
