(Montréal) - The Green Party is pleased to welcome Daniel Green, Deputy Leader of the party, as the candidate for the new riding of Ville-Marie- Le Sud-Ouest- Île-des-Soeurs.
“I grew up and have worked for over 35 years in this community, so I am pleased that residents have placed their trust in me,” said Deputy Leader Green. “My team and I look forward to meeting with residents ready to elect the first Green Member of Parliament on the Island of Montreal.”

Daniel Green is an environmental scientist and social activist who has worked with towns, cities, and First Nations communities to limit the introduction of carcinogens and toxins into the environment. He led la Société pour Vaincre la Pollution, a pioneer Quebec environmental organization, for nearly 20 years. Daniel Green’s research has educated communities about the health threats of toxic substances.
