(VICTORIA) – Today, Elizabeth May, Green Party Leader (Saanich-Gulf Islands), and candidate Jo-Ann Roberts (Victoria), rallied with hundreds of Green supporters in Victoria.
The Victoria Conference Centre was packed with Green supporters, who cheered for Ms. May and Ms. Roberts on the final stop of the Green Island Bus Tour, before heading out on a final push to reach voters throughout the riding.
“In a democracy, it's good to vote for what you want,” said Ms. May. “See whether you wouldn't be proud to have a strong Green voice as your representative, then vote with your head and your heart, and get everyone you know to the polls! Send me reinforcements. I need Jo-Ann in Parliament.”
“Canadians need to get out and vote on Monday, and bring new voters with them,” said Ms. Roberts. “I want everyone, young and old, in Victoria and across Canada, to get out and vote and elect Green MPs to put Canadians first.”
“We have momentum and we will win seats,” concluded Ms. Roberts.
