(OTTAWA) - The Green Party of Canada congratulates the volunteers, candidates and Leader of the Green Party of Manitoba for their strong showing in yesterday's provincial election.
“When I visited Winnipeg on the final week of the campaign, I could sense the excitement and energy behind the Green campaign. Today’s result, under the leadership of James Beddome, proves the Greens speak for many Manitobans,” said Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada (MP, Saanich-Gulf Islands).
In Wolseley, Green candidate David Nickarz finished second with more than 2,600 votes in a close-fought battle.
“Congratulations to all those who worked so hard for a better Manitoba, to David Nickarz for his incredible campaign in Wolseley and to Premier-elect Brian Pallister on his successful campaign.”
