(OTTAWA) -- The Green Party of Canada today released the conclusions of an independent third-party investigation into allegations of workplace harassment against Elizabeth May. The charges against Ms. May were found to be without merit.
The investigation was led by Sheila Block, of Torys LLP. Her team interviewed two of the three complainants, as well as Ms. May and a number of other individuals, and reviewed extensive documentation relevant to the complaints, both from contemporaneous emails and personnel files. The investigation, which began in late January, was thorough and fully independent.
The investigators concluded that the allegations do not constitute workplace harassment. The investigation is now closed.
Because the investigators’ report contains personal information about identifiable individuals not party to the complaints, on the advice of the investigators the full report will remain confidential. An Executive Summary is available at www.greenparty.ca/torysreport
