I bring a wealth of experience. I've been an award-winning journalist, educator and documentary film maker for 40 years. As a professional storyteller, I’ve covered politics and the issues of our time at every level, and have good insight into the evolving Canadian perspectives about how we govern ourselves.

I go as far back as Dave Barrett. This puts me on the other side of the chronological divide from the new young voters we need to attract. So my work as the BC Representative is not to just reflect my specific concerns about Green governance (and as former candidate, I have a fistful), but to use my skills to harvest those ideas from the people who need to take the reins going forward. We are at the turning point. We change. Or we become an artifact of history. My generation got us here. Time to pass the torch.

I am the transition. I stood proudly as the candidate in North Vancouver this past year. I have the time and skills and open-mindedness to accumulate the people and ideas that will form our future. We need figure this out and to get the important stuff done and we’re in a hurry. The world is turning towards us, and we have to be ready to embrace and represent the coming sustainable future. We need to inspire by our Green example. As the B.C. Representative on the Council, that is what I shall do.
