Kim Vance-Mubanga (she/her) is an experienced and well-respected educator, author, and non-profit administrator. She is based in Nova Scotia and has been deeply connected to human rights movements at the provincial, national and international level for thirty years, particularly for women, 2SLGBTQ+ persons, and those impacted by HIV/AIDS. She has been called upon to provide expert opinion, guidance, and research to various domestic, regional, and international bodies and organisations, including the Canadian Parliament and Senate, as well as the United Nations. She has also been a strong advocate within the school system for young people with intellectual and development disabilities, along with being a committed ally to racial justice movements. She is completing a Master’s of Adult Education at St. Francis Xavier University.
