LaSalle—Émard—Verdun

Sarah Carter has been a resident of Verdun since 2017, when she moved from Guelph, Ontario to pursue a PhD in Art History at McGill University. In addition to her doctoral research, she teaches undergraduate courses at McGill.

Sarah first campaigned with the Green Party in 2007 and has since volunteered in environmental protection initiatives including a fundraising campaign to prevent the construction of a mega-quarry in Melancthon Township, ON.

She is excited to be the Green Party candidate for LaSalle—Émard—Verdun. She was initially drawn to this vibrant region of Montréal for its cultural diversity and beautiful green space.

Sarah hopes to represent her constituents in Parliament where she will support evidence-based decision making and progressive environmental policy. Sarah is committed to social justice, fighting climate change, reducing plastic pollution and supporting sustainable development.

When not teaching or writing her dissertation, Sarah spends her time hiking and skiing at Mont-Orford and Mont-Tremblant with her fiancé, Calvin.
