Daniel Lapierre was born in Lachute, Quebec and has lived in the village of L’Orignal since 1997. As a scientist, Daniel believes in evidence-based policy and understands the severity of the climate crisis.

Daniel has a degree in physics from the University of Ottawa and has been working in electric transformers and machine vision for over a decade. A dedicated father and local community member, Daniel loves spending time with his kids and volunteering as a coach and organizer for soccer, baseball and hockey, including being a past president of his local minor hockey association.

Daniel recently organized a concert to raise funds for the Action Champlain campaign against a proposed cement plant in L’Orignal. He joined the Green Party because he believes in the Green values of non-violence, sustainability, social justice, ecological wisdom, participatory democracy and respect for diversity.
