Cariboo—Prince George

Leigh Hunsinger-Chang is a wife, a mother, a step mother, an educator and a physician. She has lived in Prince George for the past decade, where she has worked as an emergency physician, family physician and has been heavily involved in medical education leadership.

Leigh was raised in rural Southern Ontario and studied anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley. She studied medicine at McMaster University and trained in family medicine in Thunder Bay at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, and emergency medicine in Vancouver at St. Paul’s Hospital, UBC. Leigh is the physician lead for the Green Hospital Initiative at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia. She is a member of the B.C. chapter of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment and is engaged in opportunities to both learn and teach about climate change.

Leigh is deeply concerned about climate change and is standing as the Green Party candidate for the Cariboo—Prince George riding to talk about this important issue. Join her!
