OTTAWA -- The Green Party of Canada expresses its deep sympathy for Poland after the sudden death of President Lech Kaczynski, his wife Maria, Franciszek Gagor, Slawomir Skrzypek, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Kremer and the many other members of the Polish government. This terrible plane crash is a loss for the entire world.
The death of these officials is truly saddening for all Canadians, and particularly for Polish-Canadians. Our thoughts and prayers go to the families of those taken so suddenly. Their willingness to work on behalf of their country will be remembered and appreciated.
As Poland now comes together in sadness, we send our hopes and best wishes that the country will be able to overcome this great loss and upheaval.
