Green Party Statement on third anniversary of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy

OTTAWA  – The Green party of Canada joins with all Canadians today to remember the 16 people who died, and 13 others who were injured, when a coach bus carrying  junior hockey players team from Humboldt, Saskatchewan struck a semi-trailer on a rural highway on April 6, 2018.

“Today, our thoughts are with the families and friends who lost loved ones in that terrible tragedy,” said Green Party Leader Annamie Paul. “Such a heartbreaking event will be forever etched in the memory of the Humboldt Broncos community. As we remember the lives that were taken that day, we hope that the outpouring of compassion and kindness from across Canada, in some small measure, reminds the survivors and the community that they are in our hearts this day.”
