(Ottawa, October 7, 2023) - The Green Party of Canada unequivocally condemns today’s brutal attacks on Israeli civilians by forces affiliated with Hamas, calls on the release of all hostages and on immediate steps to deescalate this dangerous situation.
Israeli and Palestinian civilians deserve to live in peace and to fully enjoy their rights to life and safety. Prior, ongoing and future rights violations on either side of this conflict are appalling and must be denounced in the strongest terms possible.
The cycle of senseless violence and hatred must come to an end.
