Time to Run: FAQs

The best talent scout for new leaders is you and we are so excited to have your contribution to our nomination process! There are so many unsung heroes who are getting things done in their local communities, day in and day out. The world may not know who they are, but their communities do. That is why we are asking family, coworkers, friends, and everyday Canadians to nominate those who are the leaders where they live.

The Green Party of Canada is recruiting talented people who believe in progressive politics and that Canada can complete its social safety net, launch a Green Recovery and forge a just society. Parliament needs people from every walk of life – frontline workers, professionals, community organisers, small business owners – who know what needs to be changed and how to get it done.
You don't need to know the answer to every question. We have offered lots of different options for you to share information, including sending us social media links, a website link, or even recording a quick video on your phone to send. Try to tell us as much as you can, and we will take it from there.
After you submit a nomination, or nominate yourself, you will get an email confirming that your form was submitted successfully. We will review the information you have sent us and conduct some preliminary vetting. If you or your nominee might be eligible to run as a candidate, we will contact them.
Federal candidates must be over 18 years old and be a Canadian citizen.
If you have specific questions that aren’t addressed by this guide, feel free to reach out to our mobilizing team anytime by emailing support@greenparty.ca.
